Description
PIR sandwich panel from Dongan Building Sheets Co.,Ltd.
PIR material, short for Polyisocyanurate Foam, is a foaming material made by the reaction of isocyanate with polyether in the presence of a catalyst. This material has superior physical and fire-resistant properties compared to standard polyurethane, making it an ideal organic low-temperature insulation material. It features a low thermal conductivity, is lightweight and shock-absorbent, and has strong adaptability. It is widely used in oil refineries, chemical plants, ethylene production, fertilizers, cold storage, and the construction industry for thermal insulation.
Relying on its excellent performance, PIR sandwich panel is a newer generation of building materials.
Characteristics and advantages of PIR sandwich panels
- PIR materials have better fire resistance performance, achieving a B1 fire rating;
- PIR materials provide better dimensional stability for panels and products. The lower thermal decomposition rate of the material can form a protective carbon layer during combustion, slowing down the burning;
- PIR materials have higher mechanical strength;
- The production efficiency of panels using PIR as a filler material is relatively high.
